Feline Vaccines

For kitties, the most important factor for deciding what vaccines are needed is whether or not the cat has access to the outdoors.  There are many other diseases that our feline friends are exposed to in the outside world.  For this reason, we recommend that most kitties be indoor only.
  • Rabies vaccine - The rabies vaccine is required by law for all cats regardless of there environment.  Rabies is a serious disease that can be transmissible to humans and deadly.  For more information, visit our rabies page.
  • FVRCP vaccine - This vaccine covers a combination of different viruses that can affect cats in any environment.

Kitten

  1. Distemper (FVRCP): At least 2, 3-4 weeks apart. Last vaccine should be given around 12-14 weeks of age.
  2. Rabies: Purevax 1 Year
  3. Felv: 2 vaccines around 3 weeks apart IF outdoors.
